Online Payment Processing

The biggest difference between Rainier and other service providers is that Rainier does not hold onto your money at all while they hold onto your money for weeks or months. Instead we help our clients set-up their own online payment processing account so all funds flow immediately and directly to your bank account. We negotiate on behalf of our clients to obtain them the lowest fates and fees. This is another first, best or only FBO  feature provided by Rainier. Visa, Mastercard and now Discover credit/debit cards are typically standard with all payment processors while American Express and eCheck are optional services with different pricing. Clients set-up their own payment processing and those fees are billed directly by the processor.

We have negotiated super competitive pricing for Rainier clients with Gravity Payments who are known for their excellent support. This includes no upfront fees (for clients choosing the Annual Service Agreement option), low transaction rates and the ability to suspend monthly fees without incurring a reconnection fee.

  • Credit/Debit Card - Visa/MasterCard Credit/Debit cards: $100 Set-up fee (waived for clients choosing the Annual Service Agreement option); $20 Monthly fee
  • Transaction fee - a rate of 2.15% plus $0.20 per transaction for qualified transactions

    Another good payment processor and one that supports both US and Canadian clients is Beanstream.

    US Clients

  • Credit/Debit Card - Visa/MasterCard Credit/Debit cards: $100 Set-up fee (waived for clients choosing the Annual Service Agreement option); $20 Monthly fee
  • Transaction fee - a rate of 2.19% plus $0.30 per transaction for qualified transactions

    Canadian Clients

  • Credit/Debit Card - Visa/MasterCard Credit/Debit cards: $100 Set-up fee (waived for clients choosing the Annual Service Agreement option; $20 Monthly fee
  • Transaction fee - a flat rate of 2.89% plus $0.30 per transaction

    Rainier is also compatible with two PayPal solutions: Website Payment Pro v2.0 (only available via phone sales: 866-836-1648) and Payflow Pro. Rainier is not compatible with Website Payment Standard, also known as "buttons". Clients choosing PayPal pay an additional $0.52 per credit card transaction charge to Rainier. (Note: this is in addition to PayPal charges and billed separately by Rainier).
